The Behringer X32 is the full-size console of the X32 family. It has 40 input channels, 25 buses and 32 Midas-designed mic preamps on the rear panel. It also has 25 motorized 100 mm faders and a 7-inch main screen. Two AES50 ports carry up to 96 channels to stage boxes such as the S16. In addition, an expansion card adds 32 channels of USB audio for recording. The console sits at front of house or at the monitor position. You find it in conference venues, churches, theaters and rental fleets.

### How Showcaller connects to the Behringer X32

Showcaller connects to the X32 through the rear-panel Ethernet port, via the Showcaller Bridge App on the show network. It uses the console’s OSC remote control on port 10023. Then the operator asks in plain words, by voice or in chat. For example, they can say **mute channel 12** or **bring the main mix down 6 dB for the changeover**. They can also say **put a little more of the lectern mic in bus 3**. Each request becomes a Tool Function call on the console, such as Set channel mute, Set main fader and Set channel send to bus. The [Behringer X32 and Midas M32 integration](/integrations/behringer-x32-midas-m32/) page lists them all.

### Ranges that match the console

The ranges match the X32’s layout. Input channel faders, mutes, names and preamps cover channels 1 to 32. Those are the console’s own 32 rear-panel preamps. Mix bus masters and sends cover buses 1 to 16, while DCA control covers the eight DCA groups. Scenes use numbers 0 to 99, the same numbering the console uses for its 100 scenes. Because the X32 has motorized faders, a level set through Showcaller also shows on the surface. That happens when that channel’s layer is showing. So the engineer at the desk and the person asking stay on the same page.

### A Behringer X32 on a corporate show

On a typical corporate show the X32 runs the room while one person handles video, lights and audio together. Showcaller lets that person rename channels for the running order and color scribble strips. They can ride the presenter DCA or switch 48V phantom power for a late-arriving condenser. They can also recall the scene for the next session, all without walking to the desk. However, Showcaller confirms with the operator before it recalls or saves a scene. The same goes for switching phantom power or changing an effects send. For full specs, see Behringer’s [X32 product page](https://www.behringer.com/en/products/0603-ACE).
