A lot of rigs still run on grandMA2, and now it’s just as voice-controllable as anything newer in your stack, through TCP Telnet, the protocol the console actually speaks.
Why grandMA2 voice control matters as much as the newer gear
This is worth calling out on its own because it’s easy to assume older or more established gear gets left behind while integrations chase whatever’s newest. That’s not how we’re building the integration list. If it has an API, OSC, or in this case, a Telnet interface, it’s fair game, regardless of how long the product’s been on the market.
Functionally, it works the same way grandMA3 does: ask for a cue or look, and Tally confirms the console actually changed state before the request is marked done. Same reliability, different wire protocol underneath.
