Netgear’s AV Line Managed Switches are now integrated through the Netgear AV REST API — switch utilization, PoE budget management, and port power cycling, all reachable by voice.
What the Netgear AV Line integration is built to catch
This is infrastructure-layer support, in the same spirit as Ubiquiti AV: most of the time nobody thinks about the switch at all, until a device on it stops responding and the fastest fix is cycling that port’s power rather than tracing a cable. Being able to ask Showcaller to do that — or just ask what the switch’s current utilization looks like — turns a “walk over and check” problem into a question.
Combined with Pulse’s continuous awareness, switch health becomes something that’s already known rather than something you have to go look up the moment you suspect a problem.
Netgear joins Ubiquiti AV (the other network-layer integration), vMix, Blackmagic ATEM, Behringer X32/Midas M32, Behringer XAir/Midas MR, MA Lighting grandMA2/grandMA3, Shure Wireless, Sennheiser EW-DX, Panasonic PTZ, NDI, Bitfocus Companion, QLab, and Allen & Heath SQ.
