Yamaha’s RCP/SCP console family — CL, QL, Rivage PM, DM3, and DM7 — is now fully under Showcaller’s control, speaking Yamaha’s native remote-control protocol directly over TCP/IP, with live read-back of console state and low enough latency to use mid-show without thinking about it.
What the Yamaha mixer integration covers
This is one of the deeper integrations on the list. Coverage includes input mutes and fader levels, Main Stereo and Mix bus masters, Matrix outputs for zone/delay/broadcast/recording feeds, monitor-mix sends, DCA group control, and scene recall on CL and QL consoles. In practice, that covers the things that actually come up mid-show: muting a rogue mic without touching the surface, riding a fader during a level change, hitting main mute cleanly during a changeover, or recalling a scene to transition between segments — all confirmed against the console’s actual reported state by Tally before Showcaller calls any of it done.
DCA groups are worth a specific mention: being able to ride or mute an entire group of sources with one command, instead of finding and adjusting each channel individually, is the kind of thing that matters most exactly when you don’t have time to do it the slow way.
A quick device-diagnostics check is built in too — a single probe confirms the console is online and answering before the show starts, so “is the desk actually connected” isn’t a question you’re guessing the answer to five minutes before doors.
Yamaha joins Behringer X32/Midas M32, Behringer XAir/Midas MR, and Allen & Heath SQ on the list of supported consoles — alongside vMix, Blackmagic ATEM, MA Lighting grandMA2/grandMA3, Shure Wireless, Sennheiser EW-DX, Panasonic PTZ, NDI, Bitfocus Companion, Netgear AV, QLab, and Ubiquiti AV.
