Party line transcription: Showcaller hears the crew.

Comms gives your crew live party line transcription. Showcaller transcribes your comms and recognizes who is speaking. Then, every few minutes, a summary of the conversation goes to Showcaller AI. So it knows what the crew just said.

Showcaller Comms panel: a live transcript of the crew's party line, each line labelled with the crew member who said it

01

Party line transcription, with who said it

Showcaller listens to the party line and transcribes it live. Then voice fingerprinting recognizes the crew members on it. So each line carries the name of who said it, not just the words. When a voice is new to Showcaller, it shows up unassigned. You only need to name it once.

02

A running summary in the AI's context

At a set interval, Showcaller summarizes the last few minutes of conversation for Showcaller AI. So when you ask it something, it already knows if the director just called a hold. It also knows if the stage manager is waiting on a mic. As a result, nobody has to repeat what the crew already said.

03

Listening, not talking

Comms is monitoring only. In other words, Showcaller does not speak on the party line or take commands from it. Instead, the person calling the show still gives Showcaller its instructions, by voice or chat. Party line transcription is simply how it keeps up with everyone else.

04

Party line transcription from the comms you already run

Any comms system with an audio output works. First, send the party line audio into an audio capture device on the Bridge machine. For example, that can be a USB audio card or dongle, or a Focusrite Scarlett or similar interface. Dante also works, through Dante Virtual Soundcard. Then pick that device as the audio input in the Bridge app. That's it.

05

Right next to the chat

Comms lives in a side panel of the regular Showcaller interface, beside the chat. So it is not a separate app or screen. You get it on the Pro plan and up. Compare plans →

The crew talks. Now Showcaller hears it.

Comms closes the gap between what the crew says on headset and what the AI knows. And your crew doesn't have to change how it talks.
