Panasonic AW-UE150 and AW-UE150A
Showcaller AI runs the Panasonic AW-UE150 and its successor, the AW-UE150A, by voice or chat. It covers presets, pan, tilt and zoom, focus and iris. It also covers stream settings. The two cameras differ mainly in NDI support.

Overview
The Panasonic AW-UE150 and AW-UE150A with Showcaller
The Panasonic AW-UE150 is a 4K PTZ camera with a 1-type 4K MOS sensor and a 20x optical zoom. It outputs 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI and HDMI, and it streams H.264, H.265, SRT and RTMP. Panasonic has discontinued the Panasonic AW-UE150. Its successor, the AW-UE150A, keeps the same body size and lens. However, the UE150A adds NDI High Bandwidth next to NDI|HX2. It also accepts 10.8 to 24 V DC. Showcaller AI runs both cameras as one model, by voice or chat.
Showcaller on the Panasonic AW-UE150
Showcaller connects through the Showcaller Bridge App, a small app on a computer on the show network. It sends Panasonic’s own IP control commands over HTTP, on port 80 by default. Then the operator asks in plain words, by voice or in chat. For example, they can say camera 2, recall preset 4 or send camera 1 home. They can also say pan left slowly and then stop. Before it stores a preset, Showcaller asks the operator to confirm. After a move or a mode change, it reads the camera’s state back where the camera reports it.
Showcaller’s team tested the integration on an AW-UE150 with firmware V3.20. On that camera, Showcaller confirmed focus mode, iris mode and tally changes by reading them back.
NDI and streaming on the UE150 and UE150A
Here the two models differ. The AW-UE150 offers NDI|HX2 only, with firmware later than version 2.94. In contrast, the AW-UE150A offers both NDI|HX2 and NDI High Bandwidth. So ask Showcaller which modes the camera supports before you switch. It reads the camera’s own capability report. Also, three stream settings did not take effect on the test AW-UE150. These were the NDI name, the NDI transport setting and the stream resolution in NDI|HX mode. For now, check those settings in the camera’s web page. Every stream change waits for the operator to confirm it.
Tool Functions by plan
Starter covers camera status, presets 1 to 100, home and exact positioning, and reboot. It also covers every stream read. Pro adds pan, tilt and zoom at a chosen speed. It also adds focus and iris modes and the iris level. In addition, Pro adds stream mode, codec, NDI, bitrate, frame rate and resolution. Enterprise adds manual focus pulls, tally on or off and extra stream profiles. The same Tool Functions apply to the Panasonic AW-UE150 and the AW-UE150A. The Panasonic PTZ integration page lists every function. For full specs, see Panasonic’s AW-UE150A product page.
What you can do
Run the Panasonic AW-UE150 and AW-UE150A by voice or chat
Presets and exact positions
Recall or store presets 1 to 100, send the camera home or move it to an exact pan and tilt position (Starter). Storing a preset is confirmed with you first.
Pre-show camera check
Read the model, firmware, serial number, lens position, tally state and the last recalled preset before doors open (Starter).
Pan, tilt and zoom by voice
Pan, tilt and zoom at a chosen speed until you say stop (Pro). Switch focus and iris between auto and manual and set the iris level (Pro).
Tested on an AW-UE150
Focus mode, iris mode and tally changes were confirmed by read-back on an AW-UE150 with firmware V3.20.
NDI that matches the model
Read which streaming modes the camera supports, then switch mode, codec, bitrate or frame rate (Pro). NDI|HX2 on the UE150; NDI High Bandwidth too on the UE150A.
