Panasonic AW-UE30, AW-UE20 and AW-UE4
Showcaller AI runs Panasonic's compact AW-UE30, AW-UE20 and AW-UE4 by voice or chat. These cameras suit meeting rooms and lecture capture. None of them offers NDI, and the UE4 has a fixed-focus lens, so some Tool Functions do not apply.

Overview
The Panasonic AW-UE30, AW-UE20 and AW-UE4 with Showcaller
The Panasonic AW-UE20 is a compact 4K PTZ camera for small meeting rooms and classrooms. It has a 12x optical zoom and outputs HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB and IP video. The AW-UE30 has a longer 20x optical zoom, with HDMI and USB outputs. The AW-UE4 is the smallest. It has a 111° ultra-wide lens, a 4x digital zoom and USB power. Showcaller AI runs the Panasonic AW-UE20, UE30 and UE4 as one model, by voice or chat.
How Showcaller connects to the Panasonic AW-UE20
Showcaller connects through the Showcaller Bridge App, a small app on a computer on the show network. It sends Panasonic’s own IP control commands over HTTP, on port 80 by default. Then the operator asks in plain words, by voice or in chat. For example, they can say camera 2, recall preset 4 or send camera 1 home. They can also say pan left slowly and then stop. Before it stores a preset, Showcaller asks the operator to confirm. After a move or a mode change, it reads the camera’s state back where the camera reports it.
What applies on each model
Showcaller offers the same Tool Functions on all three. However, the cameras do not support all of them. First, none of the three offers NDI, so the NDI Tool Functions do not apply. Second, Panasonic lists SRT for the UE30 but not for the UE20 or UE4. All three stream H.264 and H.265. Ask Showcaller which modes the camera supports before you switch. Third, the UE4 has a single fixed-focus lens and no optical zoom. So the focus Tool Functions do not apply to it. Finally, the UE4 pans ±110° and tilts ±25°, a smaller range than the UE20 or UE30.
Tool Functions by plan
Starter covers camera status, presets 1 to 100, home and exact positioning, and reboot. It also covers every stream read. Pro adds pan, tilt and zoom at a chosen speed. It also adds focus and iris modes and the iris level. In addition, Pro adds stream mode, codec, NDI, bitrate, frame rate and resolution. Enterprise adds manual focus pulls, tally on or off and extra stream profiles. On these compact cameras, the Starter and Pro plans cover most needs. The Panasonic PTZ integration page lists every function. For full specs, see Panasonic’s AW-UE20 product page.

Pan, tilt and zoom by voice
Pan, tilt and zoom at a chosen speed until you say stop, and set the iris level (Pro).
H.264 and H.265 streams

FAQ
Questions about the Panasonic AW-UE30, AW-UE20 and AW-UE4
Can Showcaller switch these cameras to NDI?
No. Panasonic does not offer NDI on the AW-UE30, AW-UE20 or AW-UE4. Showcaller can still switch between the H.264 and H.265 modes each camera supports.
Does focus control work on the AW-UE4?
No. The AW-UE4 has a single fixed-focus lens, so the focus Tool Functions do not apply. Pan, tilt, presets and stream settings still do.
Does Showcaller treat the UE30, UE20 and UE4 differently?
No. All three connect as one model with the same Tool Functions. The cameras differ in zoom, focus, outputs and streaming modes, so some Tool Functions do not apply to every model.
Can Showcaller power the AW-UE20 on or off?
No. Showcaller has no power on or off function for Panasonic cameras. It can reboot a camera after you confirm it. Video and control drop while the camera restarts.
Which Showcaller plan do I need?
Starter has 27 Tool Functions: camera status, presets, home and exact positioning, reboot and every stream read. Pro adds 17 more for pan, tilt and zoom, focus and iris modes, the iris level and stream settings. Enterprise adds 8 more for manual focus pulls, tally and extra stream profiles. Each plan includes the Tool Functions of the plans below it.
